Brain Aneurysm Education with Dr. Kyle Chapple, MD
On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, the Matthew Friedman Memorial Foundation hosted Dr. Kyle Chapple, MD at Marlboro EMS for an educational session on Brain Aneurysms. More than 50 volunteer EMTs participated in this program, where Dr. Chapple delivered an in-depth review of brain aneurysm recognition, treatment considerations, and patient management. The education emphasized:
Early detection and identification of symptoms
Optimal facility selection to ensure patients receive definitive care
Prehospital treatment strategies to stabilize patients prior to intervention
Post-procedural management and considerations for recovery
This education provided EMTs with essential knowledge to enhance decision-making and patient advocacy in the field. By equipping frontline providers with current evidence-based education, the Foundation continues its mission to strengthen prehospital care and improve patient outcomes.
Educational initiatives such as this directly contribute to advancing the quality of emergency medical services and, ultimately, may help save patients from the devastating consequences of a ruptured brain aneurysm.
Community CPR Training: 50 New Lifesavers Trained
To conclude National CPR and AED Awareness Week, the Matthew Friedman Memorial Foundation, in partnership with Deloitte and Marlboro EMS, hosted a community training program on Friday, June 6, 2025 that prepared 50 new individuals with life-saving CPR and AED skills.
This initiative provided participants with the confidence and ability to respond effectively in the event of a cardiac emergency. By expanding the number of trained responders in the community, we strengthen public safety and increase the chances of positive outcomes when every second counts.
Through collaboration and shared commitment, we continue to advance the mission of creating a safer and more prepared community.
